Established: June 14, 1775
Overview of the Army:

-- The United States Army was established on June 14th, 1775 upon the autorization that allowed for yearly rifleman enlistements by the Contintential Congress. This was the day that the army's infantry was born. It is the oldest and most basic section branch within the US Army or "Corps". As time continued on and the army grew in numbers as well as different specialties the Army Brached out even more into different Corps sections to accomadate and provide more specific training to each distinguished occupation.
