Saving Grace --> About The Webmaster

Hi everyone, my name is AJ, I am the webmaster behind this site. I'm 24 and a single mom to 2 angels, ages 6 and 2 1/2. I'm an ex-Army & Air Force girlfriend. I'm originally from Colorado but I've resided in Oklahoma for the past 6 years. I travel all over this state & Kansas to visit friends at nearby bases. I am a college student going for my associates in Web Design & Interactive Media, I attend the Art Institute. My hobbies outside of this site include video games, reading, movies & I'm not afraid to get down and dirty in the muck & the mud. I love to learn new things and I will try most anything once. I have been lucky enough to have the friends that I do who have serve in the military as well as veterans in my life.

In late 2007, I was in a car accident that involved a semi and that has left me with rods in my back and some range motion loss and occasional paralysis in my left leg. I survived this accident all because one of my friends taught me their job as I helped them study to go before the board to get a promotion to SGT and to get my license in late 2005. I never thought that I would have ever used what they taught me, let alone have it save my life. I remain thankful to these 2 soldiers that involved me in their lives and their jobs, and also for giving me a chance to be in their lives. This is only one of several occasions that the military has truly saved my life. They are part of the inspiration for the things that I do today. I would not be here or have custody of my children if I didn’t have the friends that I have had. I have learned a lot from them about responsibility and diligence in the things that one does.

One of my biggest passions is this site, before I met my friends who serve, I knew next to nothing about the military, but after being around it for the past 6 years I would not change one thing about the things I've seen and the people that I have met. Most military sites I have run across are for the military only or honor only the military & veterans, I don't think that is fair, I think that the families should be of honorable mention as well because no one can get through life alone. That no one is left forgotten, so that is what this site is for, everything military and to honor EVERYONE that serves, cause it's a whole other world when you live in a military family.

I hope you enjoy my site!
